NE Asia on edge ahead over N. Korea

Countries in northeast Asia remained on edge Wednesday amid warnings from U.S. and South Korean officials that North Korea could carry out a missile test at any point.

Japan has deployed missile defense systems around Tokyo, some Chinese tour groups have canceled visits to North Korea, and U.S. radars and satellites are trained on an area of the Korean east coast where Kim Jong Un's regime is believed to have prepared mobile ballistic missiles for a possible test launch.

After weeks of belligerent threats and provocative gestures from Pyongyang, the situation on the Korean Peninsula is fragile.

    And just what will the outcome be? The "supreme chubby one" has boxed himself into a corner and that is dangerous!
    He has to save face and still look powerful, if not then his "followers" might get mad & not trust him! Just one mistake can take this thing to a no win battle!

    The US economy and the middles have been impoverished to the point that they badly need Dental Work Done, the involvement and intervention into another conflict will farther push the system to collapse.

    Is the SOS rhetoric still going on ? Yes. Has anything new developed ? No. Might as well c/p the same story each day. Same outcome.

    @ ronvan, who are his followers? Certainly not all the citizens of his country that he has imprisoned in concentration like work camps? Some have been there most of their lives, if not all of their life. Thats one practise he shouldve discontinued!

    Now would be the time, for the betterment of mankind, for Obama to put those drones to good use!

      @ chrissy;
      "To good use?" I think drones have been used very well indeed all along.
      For use with Kim Jong Un. I'd recommend the big-pumpkin-charlie-brown drone.

      The counter measures for drones are cheep and wide spread, there not meant for real wars but for the war on terror. You can knock one down with a cheap old Russian hand held surface to air missile.

      Than you know we cant abandon those innocent people that just want to live. If we left they would be massacred.

    "Drones have worked very well" to echoe Madeline Albright "in killing people" (men, women,Children).
    For Un we need to work more with the brain which is sadly lacking on his side.

    Terrorists who attack another country by flying jet planes into its skyscrapers and military buildings can reasonably expect some civilian casualties when the attacked country comes for the bad boys, who live surrounded by women and children for protection.

    My realistic comments about the nature of wars do not post. Why do we have to pretend to be unaware of civilian casualties in war?

    So we should just accept blindly that the killing of innocent children is just "collateral damage"? Especially after all the hype about how wonderful these drones are??? Turns out they arent any more affective than a tank when it comes to singling out one enemy person!!
