9:30 am ET - Senate takes up gun control - Provided they overcome a filibuster threat, senators are expected to begin official debate on gun control legislation.

10:00 am ET - Texas stabbing suspect in court - Dylan Quick makes his first court appearance.  He stands accused of going on a stabbing rampage at a community college near Houston.

11:30 am ET - White House briefing - North Korea, the federal budget and gun control will likely dominate Press Secretary Jay Carney's briefing in Washington.

12:30 pm ET - Jodi Arias murder trial - Trial resumes in Phoenix in the case of Jodi Arias, who's accused of killing her ex-boyfriend in 2008.

2:10 pm ET - Medal of Honor ceremony - U.S. Army Capt. Emil Kapaun, a chaplain during the Korean War, will be posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor for his heroism.
