The search for a missing man who was caught in an avalanche in Washington state over the weekend could resume at first light on Monday, a spokeswoman for the King County Sheriff's Office said.
The effort to find Mitch Hungate was suspended indefinitely due to poor weather conditions, according to Sgt. Katie Larson.
Heavy snow fell in the Cascade Mountains and avalanches hit near Snoqualmie Pass, one on Granite Mountain and the other on Red Mountain near the Alpental ski area, CNN affiliate KOMO said.
