N. Korea sets tough terms for talks with U.S.

North Korea on Thursday set out demanding conditions for any talks with Washington and Seoul, calling for the withdrawal of U.N. sanctions against it and a permanent end to joint U.S.-South Korean military exercises.

The United States and South Korea "should immediately stop all their provocative acts against the DPRK and apologize for all of them," the North's National Defense Commission said in a statement carried by state-run media, using the shortened version of North Korea's official name, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

North Korea itself IS the whole problem.
What if it just ceased to exist?

UN,N Korea have guts demanding anything and it just goes to show the arrogence as well as ignorence that UN has in negotiating anything here..Maybe they should come out a little less forceful because they're the ones that have sanctions not the other way around and would benefit if they ask for us to be more lienient in sanctions with the big boys meaning us..Sanctions are on the table and UN now realizes we're the only ones with the keys and nothing China,Russia or anyone else can say or do to change this decision because we as a super power can't lose face as well to these minor leaguers in military power..Remember we have been S Koreas allie for decades and we're not cutting off our allience because this spoiled brat UN says so..Remember who started this recent saber rattling and it wasn't us and its being a regular occurance for many a year now so its nothing new, same old threats just different arrogent dictators getting the same end results,NOTHING,just more straggling sanctions to quiet down the unruly kids in the room!!

Kim Jung Un doesn't want an end to sanctions. He is more heavily entrenched in power because of sanctions.

We have our troops on the ground and in Japan & other personnel, going to war or an inadvertent war would have devastating consequences and not only for the North.

TIREING!!! What do you do when an unruly child throws a temper tantrum? The "supreme chubby one" while crazy to us, is not, I hope, stupid! To remain in power and enjoy his good life, while his people are put into prisons and starving to death, he has to back off! Hopefully, he and his idiot "loyal followers" realize that they would cease to exsist if they did something!
