Israeli official: Syria using chemical weapons

The Syrian government is using chemical weapons against rebel forces, the head of the Israel Defense Forces' intelligence research departments said Tuesday.

"In all likelihood they used sarin gas," Brig. Gen. Itai Brun said Tuesday in a speech at a conference in Tel Aviv. This comes as a civil war between the government and rebels rages across Syria - which borders Israel.

Analysts believe the Syrian government may have one of the largest stockpiles of chemical weapons in the world. The supply is believed to include sarin, mustard and VX gases, which are banned under international law. Syria has denied the allegation.

You forget the essential services @DOD
Firefighting, police, air traffic control and then education, welfare programs for Americans on and on, while we dole out tax dollars on the sly to an 'ally'.

I'm still dismayed that while all sorts of news are being splashed on this blog the terrible loss of American lives in W.Texas & the devastation takes a back stage.

@banasy,good evening ..Texas plant is just a search and take pics ,record findings , items because they had at one point over 60 buildings to inspect and behind it all a playground and nobody knows if any kids were there when it exploded, real shame...I bet the insurance company on this deal must be having fits not wanting to pay on some personal claims from families of deceased workers and that can get nasty if they end up in court with suits because of how it happened...My prayers are still with the people, city in W.Texas,God bless..And on another subject send Assad some serin gas via B-2 bomber he'll enjoy the results guaranteed!!Now that's chemical warfare...
