Source: Explosives residue in suspect's home

Investigators have found residue of explosives in the Cambridge, Massachusetts, apartment slain bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev shared with his wife and young daughter, a source briefed on the investigation told CNN on Friday.

The residue turned up in at least three places, the source said: the kitchen table, the kitchen sink and the bathtub.

Suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev had previously told investigators that he and his brother built the devices in Tamerlan's home, according to another U.S. law enforcement official regularly briefed on the investigation.

Meanwhile, investigators searched areas in and around Dartmouth, Massachusetts, on Friday, according to the FBI.

This is part of the ongoing investigation. Must we be informed of every clue & piece of evidence found & every lead discovered?

In this age of "in-your-face" media, this is almost expected. I agree it is silly, not to mention releasing pieces of information before the investigation is complete leads to conspiracy theories as to why things may change as more is known. We see it with every tragedy.

That these perps didn't get away is the most important part for us. Do the digging quietly & get to the punishment, the other important part for us.

I have a question. The night of the shootout in Watertown the police arrested someone and made them strip completely naked. Do you know who this was and why has there not been any mention of this man? I think that this is a question that Tamerlans mother was asking in one of her interviews. She thought it was her son.

So after handling then at the table, he washed his hands in the sink, and later took a shower. Ok. If one handles a fire cracker, they'll have explosives residue on their hands.

If the residue was only on the kitchen table, the kitchen sick, and the bathtub, then there is no way on earth that the suspect's wife could have known about the alleged bomb.

Thanks Dazz, but this is the U.S.ofA. Someone had to do it. Please don't feel bad for us, after all Conn. had to deal. with the multiple child killer.
