U.S. military plane crashes in Kyrgyzstan

An American military refueling plane took off and crashed in Kyrgyzstan on Friday, Kyrgyz and U.S. officials said.

Three people were on board, said Bolot Sharshenaliev of the Kyrgyz Emergencies Ministry. A ministry spokeswoman had previously said there were five. The U.S. military didn't give the number of those on the plane and said "the status of the crew is unknown."

The plane was a U.S. Air Force KC-135 tanker aircraft, according to the U.S. 376th Air Expeditionary Wing Public Affairs Transit Center at Manas, near Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. The crew and aircraft are assigned to the transit center.

With all the tax money the Military recieves, why are they still using ancient aircraft? We supposedly have the finest Military and equipment in the world! Oh what was i thinking! That would be Israels military that WE keep financing.

Nice try troll, while Obozo is playing you fools like clowns with this sequester and long lines at the airport his "green" energy pals at the pentagon are paying $59 a gallon for "green" jet fuel. Regular jet fuel is $3.74 a gallon, just a little more than you pay for gasoline. As a matter of fact that is exactly $.22 more than I paid for aviation fuel for my race car 20 years ago.

@Hamsta,if anyone's a fool its you and your ignorent republicans almost unanimously voting for this sequester in both houses bud with Pres.Obama happily signing your partys death warrents..Republicans thinking if Pres.Obama was defeated in the election they'd go in and change things but just like McConnell and his one term project they were both wrong just like you bud..And Hamsta the military buys fuel in bulk like state utilities do here so why throw prices around big shot and if you had a car around over 20 years ago you couldn't you get Sunoco,VP racing fuel like I got for my small block Dodge before racing ...Jet fuel is just a waste of money too for racing at what you pay anyway..

I just love people who put a spoiler and a few stickers on their car and think they have a race car. Try building a tube frame dirt track car out of an old Toyota Celica GT twin supercharged V6. MOPAR = Mound Of Parts And Rust. Furthermore a monkey can drag race, the only skill involved is timing your right foot to the light. It takes more than Flowmaster mufflers to make a race car. Try building your own chassis.

About as exciting as a moron that claims to have run "jet fuel" in their race car.

It's $59 a gallon because it is still in development, the price includes those development costs and not using economy of scale for production yet. Once put into large production the cost would go down dramatically like any other volume production item. Of course we don't expect you to actually understand economics either Hamsta.

At that price Bush would have told the envirowhackos to stick their corn fuel in their cornholes. By the way Al Gore is a liar, global warming is a myth. Today is May 3rd and the low temperature in New Orleans was 57, the high 62. May I remind you it is May and the low is supposed to be 85 and the high 90. It was colder today than most of the winter.

Aside from the crash, you are foolish when it comes to climate change.....weather patterns are changing ....ask any non governmental weather agency who do predictions etc for large property insurance underwriters. Climate has nothing to do with daily weather you are experiencing. It's in the 80's here in Portland, Ore. Go figure!

Second coldest spring this year. Second coldest EVER since we started recording. Ask any non government weather agency that. Climate changes happen every fifty years or so and to label it global warming is complete nonsense

Thank you for that one day weather report. Now if you would actually go out and obtain an education you might actually realize what the difference between that and climate change are. It is too difficult to attempt to explain it to the uneducated so it isn't even worth wasting time trying to talk to you.

If you can use regular gasoline in your crappy dodge it is not a race car. Race cars require more than 93 octane.

If you used Jet fuel in your "race car" it probably wouldn't get off the line unless your car was a diesel. Moron. Jet A is kerosene. 100LL is 100 octane aviation gasoline, not jet fuel. What an idiot.

Lol @ Portland tony, same here in Michigan. Even in northern Michigan in places like Traverse City that rarely see 80 plus weather. But im sure a specific person will find a way to blame Obama, lol.
