Cleveland suspect could face murder counts

First came the pain - a decade of torture, torment and terror for three captive women and one of their young daughters.

Now comes the prosecution and - if there's a conviction - punishment for the man accused of being responsible for their hell.

Ariel Castro appeared silently in court Thursday, his head down, as he was arraigned on four counts of kidnapping and three counts of rape, accused of holding the women captive in his Cleveland home. Cleveland Municipal Court Judge Lauren Moore ordered Castro held on $8 million bond - $2 million for each of the three women and the child born to Amanda Berry before they were freed Monday evening.

Hours later, the top prosecutor in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, announced he'd press for more charges - "for each and every act of sexual violence ... each day of kidnapping, every felonious assault (and) all his attempted murders."

Furthermore, Prosecutor Timothy McGinty said he'd try to persuade a grand jury to indict the 52-year-old Castro for "aggravated murder" for the termination of his captives' pregnancies. He cited a state law that a person can be charged with murder - a conviction that could lead to the death penalty in Ohio - for killing unborn children.

Because in all reality he doesnt know or even really care about the victims of Benghazi. Its just another reason in a demented mind to hate Obama! So lets hope SOMEONE is paying attention to these rants of his for the security of the POTUS!

Demented people try to rationalize this president's failure to actually do his job by comparing him to Bush. Bush didn't spend two terms complaining about the mess Clinton got us into, he just did his job. There are people that talk.about what they can do and there are people who do what they do. I hear alot of talk from Obama, but it's just talk. The summer of recovery, the non affordable affordable care act, shovel ready jobs, he seems to have the Midas touch as in King Midas, the infamous King who destroyed everything he touched by turning it gold. You can paint a turd gold, but it's still just a worthless turd. Obama doesn't need to worry about me, the national security problems are always perpetrated by left wing liberals. Just look at the Occupy movement, but the Obama administration told you the Tea Party were the extremists, even harrassed the Tea Party with his IRS.

Furthermore, an administration that would decieve, mislead and outright lie to their citizens for political gain is a risk to national security. Blaming innocent Americans for islamic jihad and apoligizing to the muslim community for an innocent man's right to free speech protected national security so well that a Russian muslim showed the gun control f reaks that weapons of mass destruction can be made from stuff under your sink while the Obama administration was "hoping" they could blame white America and "changing" their story of Bengahzi.

And the main stream media and their liberal Kool-Aid drinkers are turning a blind eye to a news story that deserves just as much national attention as this one is getting, so what's your point?

No, @dazzle, the focus is firmly on the girls who had to endure such a horrific ordeal; did you read where Miss Berry had to give birth in a child's plastic pool, and Miss McKnight had to give CPR to the baby, when she stopped breathing several times, upon threat of death by Castro?

The only thing political about it is the Obama administrstion using the power of media as persuasion to get you to be a good little sheep and drink the Kool-Aid.

Oh, those poor women. I feel so badly for them.
I wonder of this a more prevalent problem than we know? After all, many, many people go missing every day.

Banasy, just google CPS CORRUPTION. This kind of abuse goes on every day by the hands of social services and foster parents. Google it and you won't believe what you read but I know it to be true because I have seen it happen with my own two eyes. Think about that while you deny that liberals keep marching to the drum of socialism.

I wonder how these poor women are assimilating, and how they will assimilate considering that 10 years have been stolen from their lives.

Banasy I wondered the same thing about the Boston bomber, raised in liberal America where it is okay to be anything other than a white conservative Christian with traditional American values, you liberals creatwd a terrorist, even raised him and his mother on food stamps and welfare. Liberalism is the leperacy of society.

Miss McKnight has reported that she has been pregnant at least 5 times, and that Castro starved and punched her repeatedly in the abdomen to affect miscarriage. This is what McGinty is looking into for the potential murder charges.

Well yea @ Portland tony that too! Except in hamstas case it is truly because he hates Obama so much he will blame him for EVERYTHING! And he may truly be a threat to the prez because of that. And just as banasy already posted there hasnt been one shred of evidence that Obama knew anything about a coverup. In hamstas view it doesnt matter the only thing that does is he was POTUS at the time.

@Hamsta, i have no affiliation with either party nor do I want to, I am on the record here where I don't watch television but I read many news sources and make my own decisions how to think. The difference is I refuse to let it take over my life.

His failure to get anything done falls completely at the hands of those "Congressional stooges" that you keep defending! The publicly stated when he was first elected that they would do EVERYTHING they could to see that he failed! And thats ALL theyve done since he took office! That and throw the US citizens under the bus!!!
