IRS leader ousted amid scandal

President Barack Obama vowed Wednesday to hold accountable those at the Internal Revenue Service involved in the targeting of conservative groups applying for federal tax-exempt status, beginning with the resignation of the agency's acting commissioner who was aware of the practice.

In a brief statement delivered to reporters in the East Room of the White House, the president announced that Treasury Secretary Jack Lew had requested - and accepted - the resignation of acting IRS Commissioner Steven T. Miller.

The president said the "misconduct" detailed in the IRS Inspector General's report released Tuesday over the singling out of conservative groups is "inexcusable."

The New York Times reported that President Barack Obama has spoken privately of "going Bulworth," a reference to the 1998 Warren Beatty movie about a California Senate candidate who becomes unusually honest after having having run as a centrist Democrat.
What a joke, Obama being honest?

The anecdote comes as the president has his reelection behind him and faces a trifecta of controversies over IRS targeting of the tea party, the handling of the terrorist attacks in Benghazi, Libya, and the Department of Justice's seizure of the telephone records of Associated Press journalists. A transparent dog an pony show if I ever saw one.

"IRS leader ousted"? Falser words could not be written. Acting IRS commish Steve Miller will remain in office until June, which has long been his planned retirement date. This is more administration hogwash to pretend someone is accountable, sort of like fast & furious and Benghazi. Complete F A I L .

Q: Why did the Post Office just recall their newest stamps?

A: Because they had pictures of IRS agents on them, and people couldn’t figure out
    which side to spit on.

Convicted abortionist Kermit Gosnell gave up his right to appeal in order to avoid the death penalty. Given the opportunity, Gosnell chose life. Too bad his victims didn't get the same choice

I personally don't see the Tea or any political Party as a social welfare organization. After the Supreme Court ruling that corporations were "persons", the number of politically oriented groups seeking tax exempt status as social welfare organizations under section 501 (c) (4) of the federal tax code rapidly expanded. No friggin' wonder the treasury is empty.....Any wild eyed religious or political organization can claim a 501c exemption and get away tax free, while you and I are stuck paying for their message and property. If you are going to use our infrastructure ....Pay for it.
