The multi-state Powerball jackpot has risen to $600 million, with a cash value of $376.9 million, according to the Multi-State Lottery Association.
The jackpot marks the second-largest lottery jackpot in U.S. history, after no one matched the winning numbers in Wednesday night's draw.

The ones running the lottery deliberately make it virtually impossible for anyone to win anything more than a few hundred bucks.
The odds are stacked so extremely against anyone winning that a multi-state lottery with hundreds of millions of tickets being sold that it still results in zero winners. That's how they've stacked the odds. It's just criminal.
Lotteries have been, and always will be nothing but a tax on people who don't understand statistics. If you're playing a lottery and angry that you didn't win, because you're "supposed to"... you didn't do the math. LITERALLY.
The answer is simple. Two dollars for a one cent scrap of paper? Save your money. Save your time. Save your breath. Save it for real dreams.
Your odds of being hit by a meteor are better. I'm buying another ticket tomorrow to increase my chances of being hit by this meteor. Why save that $2? You can barely buy lunch with it, and buying a lotto ticket will be the best investment you ever made if you win.
