Kin hunt 11 missing from Mexico bar

Mexico City sees its share of protests, but this one was unusual.

One woman wept. Other protesters shouted at the tops of their lungs, demanding answers. Still others showed pictures of their relatives to puzzled passersby.

The protesters who gathered Thursday are relatives of 11 party-goers who went missing more than a week ago from a bar in a posh Mexico City neighborhood known as "Zona Rosa," or Pink Zone. The area has a vibrant night scene with bars, nightclubs and upscale restaurants on every street.

The protesters say their relatives were kidnapped on May 26 as they were partying at Heaven, an after-hours bar in the neighborhood. All 11 disappeared sometime between 10 a.m. and noon, they say.

    Occasionally wealthy families are at risk of kidnaping in Mexico. Who knows......should have employed some security .

    Mexico is blessed with extraordinary natural resources and should be prosperous and secure. Instead, it is a failed state, with narco terrorists controlling at least one third of the country. Why? Corruption. There is no rule of law. The cops are corrupt, judges, soup to nuts this is a broken culture. Why, then, are we importing this sickness into the United States? Will Mexicans be different when they live on this side of the border? Mexican culture turned California from the greatest society ever created circa 1960s into an impoverished dump today.

    Free flow of arms is one factor these elements in Mexico & elsewhere prosper while society bleeds.
    Unfortunately US refused to join its allies in signing a treaty today signed by 60 other countries for regulating the 85 billion arms trade.

    Thank you @ saywhat. Javier that is posting is really the resident troll JR who is being investigated for his activities. The "real" Javier doesnt post and is in Argentina and also in the hospital after falling 2500 ft off a mountain and just came out of a coma. JR got his name last week when i was updating banasy and bobcat.

    Also thats how i knew he was jacked because he NEVER posts he only reads the blogs and he called me when he read these. His message to JR in much better english and nicer was: in his country you would lose body parts for stealing, especially someones name!
