Putin announces split with wife

Vladimir Putin's nearly 30-year marriage has ended, the Russian president and his wife told state-run television in a joint interview.

"This was our joint decision. Our marriage is over," Putin told Russia 24, standing next to Lyudmila Putin, in an interview shown Thursday. "We almost don't see each other. We have different lives."

    Our surveillance society and failure (by design?) of Congress to have a handle on spying, accountability and encroachment on civil liberties and a lot more.
    We let Bush &co get away with compromising the very essence of this nation and we are now suffering the consequences of our complacency in letting the same old of the same continue.

    The Santa Monica gunman who was shown wearing full battle gear with an assault rifle had 1300 rounds on him.He had killed his father & brother before embarking on a shooting spree. It is reported that he had mental issues. Is that the new 'norm'?
