A search in a field near Detroit for ex-Teamsters boss Jimmy Hoffa ended Wednesday, and as with so many past attempts to find him, authorities walked away empty-handed, the FBI said.
Authorities resumed digging in the field Wednesday morning, and a law enforcement source said the search was expanded to a site where a house once stood.
John Anthony, a former FBI special agent involved in the original 1975 hunt for Hoffa, said the tip from alleged mobster Tony Zerilli which prompted this week's renewed search was the most credible he's heard since Hoffa's disappearance - though he still has his reservations, he said.

Is there any way possible that I could be any more surprised by this revelation ?
So I guess he's still dead then?
Why waste resources? He's probably under a slab in Columbus somewhere...
As those of us who lived in the Tri-State area at the time and to this day, he is built into the cement of the Meadowlands in New Jersey.
Agreed.

Do you know where any bodies are buried, rupert?
Probably in the thousands of pizza boxes in his garage.
Well, hell, maybe that's where Hoffa is buried!

Leaving to play bin.go Bye ladies
At least this is one mobster where the stupid FBI can actually find the body, RIP to a great actor
You make even less sense than usual.
The guy either was obviously killed by somebody or he's living happily on a desert island financed by some of my Teamster dues. Who cares anymore?....Well it's good for the teamsters because every time they have a "lHot Lead", the FBI hires union men to run the excavating equipment!
