Group apologizes to gay community, shuts down

After 37 years, Exodus International, an organization whose mission was to "help" gay Christians become straight, is shutting down. But not before issuing an apology.

"We're not negating the ways God used Exodus to positively affect thousands of people, but a new generation of Christians is looking for change - and they want to be heard," said Tony Moore, a board member of Exodus.

The announcement comes less than a day after Exodus issued a wide-ranging apology to the gay community for "years of undue judgment by the organization and the Christian Church as a whole," a statement from the group says.

Exodus: While you are appologizing to the gay community, you might as well send out an RSVP to the rest of the Jewish and Christian communities, to forwarn of your backsliding.

It is extremely myopic to believe that only liberals are gay. No smokescreen; only reality.

How funny! Of all the gay people I know, only two are Democrat, and the rest of them are Log Cabin Republicans. Nicest people you'll ever want to meet.

Yes. Myopic. Yes, perhaps I am myopic. "Being myopic is FAR BETTER THAN BEING BLIND!". Love Jeff.

Well Pope Francis says that there is a gay lobby at work in the Church which must be ousted. Verdict has been passed.

God also said to marry off women to their rapist.
God also supported slavery and the beating of them. God also said to stone disobedient children. God gave those laws to the children of Israel; Christianity is something different. Jesus never said a word about gays. Neither should you.

Good. They should shut down. Being gay isn't a choice, and it is high time that people understand that nobody would choose to be hated, reviled, and discriminated against because of their natural attraction to the same gender.

There is nothing wrong with being gay. There IS something wrong with stating a deliberate lie. I don't know if Hamsta is gay or not. I just don't think that his assertion that being gay can be controlled with medicine the same way the other conditions he spoke about should be taken seriously, because it is a flat out falsehood.

Come back from the dead like I did then tell me that. Until then all you can do is pay a phony preacher in a bogus church $99.99 to save your soul.

Oh, sure Hamsta. I'll take the word of the guy who thinks being gay is a hormonal imbalance.
