Cuba: It's our weapons on N.K. ship

It was a mystery that Panama's president said his country was struggling to solve.

What was the massive military equipment hidden under hundreds of thousands of sacks of brown sugar on a North Korean boat? Where did it come from? And where was it going before investigators seized the vessel near the Panama Canal?

Hours after Panama said it would ask U.S. and British officials for help solving the puzzle, Cuba gave an answer Tuesday night.

In addition to 10,000 tons of sugar, Cuba's Foreign Ministry said, the shipment contained "240 metric tons of obsolete defensive weapons" sent to North Korea "to be repaired and returned to Cuba."

Armageddon does not refer to a war or to a specific place, but to the hills and mountains and other secluded places all over the world where the righteous gather in small companies to escape the persecution by the wicked and to wait for the return of the Lord. This is why, search as they will, scholars cannot find the specific place called Armageddon.

The only place in the Bible that mentions Armageddon is Revelation 16, verse 16. Chapter 16 of Revelation describes the Seven Last Plagues, and Armageddon is mentioned in the description of the sixth plague. Let us read the Bible verses that describe the sixth plague.

Revelation 16:12-16: “And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared. And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty. Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame. And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.”

Let us now look at Armageddon. Revelation 16:16 says, “He gathered them together into a place called . . . Armageddon.” Some think “Armageddon” means Mount Meggido, but there was never a mountain called by this name. No geographical location was ever known by the name Armageddon. This place called Armageddon, therefore, must be symbolic.

The present terrorism in the world, with the destruction of the World Trade Center's twin towers and the reaction it is producing in the United States and the middle east is probably the beginning of Satan's counterfeit battle of Armageddon. As the world inches toward war with the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction by terroristic nations, the upcoming war could reach massive proportions, including the use of nuclear weapons. The world will call this the Battle of Armageddon.

    Here is a new headline:

US And Russia Simultaneously Announce Intent To Arm Opposing Sides In Syria

Let the latest proxy war begin. Both sides must have developed some new weaponry they're wanting to test out without actually using our own guys. Our so called world leaders remind me of inquisitive children playing the I'll show you mine if you show me yours game.

It's going to be interesting to see who is going to blink first and put boots on the ground.

    Good morning banasy

Things are definitely getting out of hand. These latest developments could be the dropping of the other shoe that leads us into full blown world war.

    Good morning@bobcat@banasy@chrissy
These days nothing seem to distract me from helplessly watching the war clouds gathering on the horizon yet again.
Why have become so complacent to where this country is heading? The nation that was. The Vietnam war era.
Today's news" Lindsay Graham wants war with Iran by end of summer". How do we let these idiots serving some other center of power get away with putting America on the line?

    And @banasy
when direct military intervention begins in Syria "boots on the ground" cannot be ruled out.

Could well be the precursor of World War 3 if not Armageddon, when Syria, Iraq,Lebanon,Iran & Turkey become the battle ground .
This nation was successfully manipulated by War Party to conform to this mindset beginning 9/11 and we'll accept what is done to us and the world. Alas.

    Good morning saywhat

I was reading an article about statements Gen. Martin Dempsey made in regards to us setting up a no fly zone in Syria.
While he was talking of the monetary costs and dangers to our warriors, the likes of McCain and Graham were pushing harder than ever for our direct involvement.
In addition to the danger to our pilots from the new air defense system so generously donated by Russia, he goes on to explain the reasons we will have to boots on the ground.
This is a no win scenario no matter what color you paint it.

    Agree absolutely@bobcat.
I also think that it was Dempsey who had said that 'no fly zone would be an act of war.
Graham and McCain have been a part of the problem. Saner voices have been warning us of the folly of more military interventions & yet we are inexorably being drawn into commitments the consequences whereof spell disaster.
For the life of me I can't understand why?
Or is President Carter right who when defending the actions of Snowden this week said" we don't have a functioning democracy at this time" ?

Let me tell you my friend there are organizations of caring patriotic Americans who are standing up to have American voices heard like Just Foreign Policy, Council for a Livable World, Democracy Now, Credo Action and others. Trying to make a difference. I hope more Americans would join them.
