North, South Korea agree to family reunions

In another clear sign that the severely strained relations between the two sides is slowly improving, North Korea has agreed to a proposal from the South that they resume the reunion of families separated in the 1950-53 Korean War.

The meetings would take place on September 19, during the Chuseok harvest festival, the North Korean news agency KCNA reported Sunday.

    Thank you Korea! My dad wouldve been so happy to see this happen! Especially as it will be on his birthday and also after spending those years serving in the Army there and it was always his greatest wish that they would have peace in that region. I know hes above smiling now!

      Nice post. However, for me, personally, this just shows that the "supreme chubby one" found out that when he huffed & puffed, that he could not blow the house down! YES, it will be nice for those NK & SK people who want to see loved ones, etc., but really just another political move by NK.

    More likely than not you are correct @ ronvan. But even if its peace for only 1 day thats 1 day more than my father wouldve believed possible!

    Now if it will also include the Koreans being detained in the NK concentration camps then it will truly be a day for celibration. I just dont think that part will happen because this man is truly evil to his very core.
