Girl raped, kills self; rapist gets 30 days

A mother in Montana is outraged that a high school teacher convicted of raping her 14-year-old daughter received only a month in prison - while her daughter took her own life.

"I think this sentence is a joke, a travesty," the mother, Auliea Hanlon, told CNN on Tuesday night, a day after the sentencing.

"People will lose faith in our justice system. I have."

this judge and the perp must belong to the same moose club...this judge has failed to perform and should be removed from the bench...very very odd this judge support of
r a p e of school age child for this perp mode of operation is classic and should have been sent to jail for longer than thirty days...the judge should go jail for his abusing his position for frustrating justice and use of public office to obstruct service of sentence...all his cases should be reviewed and scrutinized...judge's closet should also be investigated as to why is he so sympathetic to crimminal behavior and used his bench to reward a perp who targets and preys on a victims of school age. judges like him are a menace to society and should not be tolerated. montana must be one backwoods,
    barbaric place to live...

Jeff, even your "low information voters" know this is patently wrong. Surely listeners of Rush have a moral barometer.

The purpose of government is to regulate aggregations of man – societies. Many segments of US governance have departed far from that. Why have a governing body when they harm more than help? When people lose faith and confidence in jurisprudence, they take the law into their own hands – vigilantism. Earnestly, many jurisdictions would do better without their overpriced underperforming government reps. If you want justice, Ms. Hanlon, you won't find it in a courtroom.

I suppose I should jump on the "where are all the white leaders decrying this crime" bandwagon, but I won't, because that's the baliwick of silly baiters.

I don't know whether there is a glitch in their system or some wacko at CNN who takes delight in such mindless actions, but it sure is frustrating.
