Man apparently seeking help killed by police
Police in North Carolina shot and killed a man running toward them Saturday morning - but he may have just been looking for help.
Officers responded to a 911 call of a suspicious man outside a woman's home in Charlotte.
The man had been knocking on her door repeatedly.
Police say that when they got there, a man matching the caller's description ran toward them.
One of the officers pulled out his stun gun, but it malfunctioned. Another officer then opened fire, police said.
Jonathan Ferrell died at the scene. He was shot several times.
He was unarmed.
Police now believe Ferrell was seeking assistance after crashing his car.

if you can't run to the police who can you run to??? the police should be charged for the senseless murder of this man...this is proof that your local police department are trained every citizen an enemy and threat...an animal to be put down....when will society hold police officers accountable for their actions and start serving prison time for their negligence and unwarranted use of lethal force...since when running is a weapon?!?!?
The perp was acting crazy. Cops aren't perfect. I wouldn't want their job. Scratch one up for the "oops" catigory.

Seems like there are a lot of "oops" going around in the law enforcement sector.
What other job on earth can you kill someone on accident, say "oops" and return the next day for work?

@ rupert, he isnt being charged because hes very dead! And how long does it take cops to determing he was unarmed? Good lord! Shot multiple times and was unarmed! Doesnt sound as if these officer have much common sense. Or if they do they dont use it much!

You are correct only one cop shot his gun. Another cop tried to shoot his taser but it failed!
A stun gun IS considered a taser, is it not?
Sentence all 3 cops to death. One for shooting, and the other two for failing to stop the third from shooting. Also, the whole department needs to be retrained on how to not resort to their guns first.
