Road rage baby killer sentenced to death

A Beijing man who snatched a baby from a pram and hurled it to its death in an argument over a parking space was Wednesday sentenced to death by a Beijing court, according to court documents.

Han Lei, 39, was charged with intentional homicide over the death of the two-year-old girl who died in hospital from brain damage 50 hours after being dashed to the pavement in the Daxing District of Beijing on July 23.

Sounds like justice to me! They should execute him immediately.

I wish we had a swift justice here. All killers and pedophiles should be quickly executed. Parole for either blows my mind. The judges who let them out should be held as accountable when they recommit. Parole board members who decide to let someone out who recommits, they need to go to jail too.

It's China. He'll have 2 days of prison sechs before he's shot in a stadium.

Good thing this didn't happen in the states, Years of appeals and lawyer BS. Might even have been found not guilty. I glad it was china they will get it done right.

You're glad it happened? Oh well, I guess that's Americans for you. Actually America incarcerates far more people than China per capita.

@ anchorite, they have fewer people incarcerated because the preferred punishment is death...

      @anchorite,

In your haste and excitement to complain about America and Americans, perhaps you missed his point: he is glad it did not happen in the U.S. because the appeals process would have drawn things out, and he was complimenting the Chinese on doing it right (and far more quickly). How can you possibly take something like that and twist it as if he were commending the U.S.? He said he was "glad it DIDN'T happen in the U.S." He certainly didn't say he was "glad it happened." Are you that biased against Americans that even when they complain about America you consider it an insult?

Seriously? That was some horrifically bad judgement, I would gladly pull the trigger on this poor fool, just to put him out of his misery...

The Chinese know what to do with creeps like this and it doesn't take 15-20 years.

Yeah, unless the creep is doing the very same thing to a non-human life! At that point NOTHING gets done even with that 15-20 years time!

China is good at getting rid off these kinds of human trash quick and right, it makes the population better and smarter and more useful, so the whole society is moving forward, the whole country is getting better and richer.

Not sure if this is just me, but I've found a lot of grammatical errors in the articles that are published by CNN recently.

I actually sent a feedback email to CNN about a year ago offering my services as a proofreader because of the volume of typos and syntax errors in their articles. Unsurprisingly, I heard nothing back.

One good thing about the communist state. They try people fast and execute sentences fitting the crime.

I wish the US would do this kind of justice instead of letting criminals come back from jail and commit crimes again.

I often times criticize China's very inclusive capital punishment, but this guy is getting exactly what he deserved. He killed a BABY? Over a PARKING SPACE? What a freak.

Our justice system takes a bit longer than China's for one reason: To protect the rights of the accused. Accused does not mean guilty, and unfortunately, even Americans have executed the innocent. I'm sure China suffers from this much more than the US. I'm sure if one of your friends or family was accused of a crime they did not commit, you would be glad to be in the US and not a place like China.
God bless America, land that I love...

It's funny how some people on this forum will praise the Chinese justice system yet they are not willing to take the communism that comes along with it. Yes, the govt gives swift justice in China as well as confiscating your guns & home. Would you like that too? That said, China has come a long ways since now because road rage is actually taking place in cars instead of on bicycles
