Kids are scared of the dark. That's normal. But Deonta Howard is now even more leery of nightfall.
The 3-year-old boy was shot in the face last week and now says that whenever the sun goes down in Chicago, people might get shot again.
His mom was taking him home from the hospital late Wednesday when reporters caught up with them. He told them he wants to go home to see grandma, but he says he's not going back to the park in their Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Side. That's where two men allegedly opened fire on him last Thursday.

Wth? He WAS shot in the face but then they say 2 men ALLEGEDLY opened fire on him?? So which was it? WAS he shot in the face or was he ALLEGEDLY shot by 2 men??? Cant have it both ways here!
You do realize, Chrissy, it CAN be both. He WAS shot in the face, that's not alleged as he was treated for the injury. HOW it happened isn't proveable at the moment, so the part about 2 men opening fire is alleged. It could have been 3, it could have been one. It could have been a woman for all we know. It could have been a direct, calculated hit, instead of open fire. Now do you get it how both statements are exclusive, and not necessarily incorrect?
