House delays Obamacare; shutdown looms

In a move that makes a government shutdown more likely, House Republicans approved a spending plan Sunday morning that would delay Obamacare for a year and repeal its tax on medical devices.

The temporary budget resolution now goes back to the Senate, where Democrats have consistently said any changes to President Barack Obama's signature healthcare law is a deal-killer.

On top of that, Obama has already issued a veto threat.

If Washington can't reach a deal, a government shutdown will begin at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday.

I do know she was fired from her law firm during the Watergate era, but perhaps it was merely because she couldn't get transportation to work.

Actually, infighting has always taken place. Jefferson and Hamilton loathed each other.

Chrissy also believes some twisted propoganda. If today's GOP translates as Greed Over People , why is it that on average a Republican donates more than 100 times the amount of money to charity than a democrat does? Bush Jr. donates 10% of his income to various charities and his idea of vacation is drinking a beer at home. Obama donates 0% to charity but has no problem forcefully taking someone elses money to pay for his multimillion dollar vacations. Glenn Beck donates 14% of his income to charities while he attempts to educate America about the problems with a socialist society. Al Gore donated a mesely $100 to some green energy conglomarate pyramid scheme while he INVENTED the false crisis of global warming and wants to forcefully take your money in exchange for a carbon credit. No your carbon credit isn't going to plant a tree to negate the CO2 you exhale, it is just going to make Al gGore rich while ObaMe's executive orders command you to buy compact floescent (containing mercury) instead of incandescent (produces more CO2, a relatively harmless gas involved in the cycle of life).

    Achieves
    More!

I'm ashamed to be a citizen in a country that puts ideology over the future of the country. The republicans have been taken oven by a childish, mean spirited group of miscreants who have no sense of civility, no sense of history, no sense of what this country stood for: an opportunity for everyone to have fair chance to succeed regardless of heritage, race, religion or wealth. Their mindless adheence to the hollow call of individual freedom is a screed for selfish bullying tactics to ensure the top 1 % of the country's population continue to amass 95% of the wealth gains at the expense of our creed and principles. From the beacon of the world we have become its town fool.

You are so right, America was the greatest nation on Earth, then it was taken over by liberal progressive democrats ( code words for socialists and communists). We true Americans want our great country back and will take it back and prosecute the socialist and communist traitors and defectors to fullest extent of the law!!!!

If republicans are the party of NO where are the democrats to negotiate a deal? Once again liberal progressive propoganda has it all wrong. Democrats are the party of IT'S MY WAY OR NO WAY and republicans are simply the party of NO SOCIALISM ALLOWED!

Do you avoid driiving because that would support the government subsidy that paid for the highway? Are you protesting the federal prinon system that spends billions incarcerating pot smokers?

I don't have a mortgage, we OWN the land, we also pay more in property taxes alone in a single year than you probably pay in a lifetime of income tax.

What are they NOT negotiating on? Something that is already law, passed and ruled upon by all three branches of our Government, exactly as the FF intended. Your comment of "it's my way or the highway" is EXACTLY what the House is doing. It's backstabbing legislation on something that has nothing to do at all with the interests of the American people and everything to do with keeping their wealthy donars in the medical field happy.
So, how do you feel about the government-funded group with subsidized housing, health care and higher education and a decent pension plan?

You know, the U.S. military. AKA American socialism.

I do rent, a house. The land we OWN is all commercial land. I DID own a house at one time but Katrina fixed that and after losing more than $60,000 I figured it would be smarter to rent. If I ever have roof problems I can just move, let the landlord worry about paying thousands of dollars for a roof that will probably leak ten years later.
