Fatalities, injuries reported in Tennessee highway wreck

A wreck Wednesday involving a tractor-trailer, tour bus and passenger vehicle resulted in multiple fatalities and injuries, the Tennessee Highway Patrol said.

The wreck occurred about 40 miles east of Knoxville on Interstate 40 westbound near the 423 mile marker, said Tennessee Department of Safety spokeswoman Dalya Qualls.

    unnerving to hear about such accidents. Tragic. Lives snuffed out just like that. A trailer tractor jumps the meridian, why? Fate? Grim Reaper playing his game of catch a la Final Destination?
    Most of us are on the road sometime or the other.

    A@ saywhat- we had a tractor trailer slam into stopped cars on the hwy. After the accident they found the truck driver was on the phone, texting. Another truck driver had fallen a sleep. Many fatalities in both instances.
