Shutdown: Obama cancels Asia trip

U.S. foreign policy takes the latest hit as the government shutdown enters its fourth day.

With his focus on the brewing domestic crisis, the White House canceled President Barack Obama's trip to the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in Bali, Indonesia.

"The president made this decision based on the difficulty in moving forward with foreign travel in the face of a shutdown, and his determination to continue pressing his case that Republicans should immediately allow a vote to reopen the government," a statement from the White House said.

Secretary of State John Kerry will lead the U.S. delegation in Asia.

    I found banasy's joke about the balloon hilarious.....PSYCHE!!!!! My family tree traces all the way back to the early 1500's to France. I come from a long line of winemakers, merchants, pirates and sailors (REAL sailors, people that navigate ships and boats across the oceans with only wind power) who were among the first to successfully navigate Cape Horn, the most dangerous place in the ocean. A democrat's definition of a navigator is an Obamecare glitch that can't find their own way out of a wet paper bag with holes in it.

    Stands by his convictions? Now I know you're smoking crack chrissy! Obame flip flops on just about any topic you can name, he was against gay marriage as a senator then flip flops as a presidential candidate- just to buy more votes. He was against raising the debt ceiling with Bush in office only to stamp his feet and throw a hissy fit when republicans oppose his tripling the national debt, the list goes on and on. He should stand by while America convicts him of treason for multiple scandals. The only thing phony about Bengahzi is the administration that blamed it on a Youtube video while using the IRS, NSA, DHS and other groups as a personal extortionist service to harass his opposition while lieing to the nation about the fate of Al Quaeda and spying on American citizens instead of Muslim terrorists.

    Lol @ Cav, correct. And they just made the latest Transformer movie in Detroit, as all the previous of that series. So does that mean they transformed Hollywood into Detroit? Lmao. And aren't their auto plants in several states? They still have plenty all around Michigan.

      Chrissy, they make movies in Chicago all the time. There are production companies all over the country. Along with car plants all over the country, but Michigan is still the biggest auto maker in the US.

      Hillary was putting pressure on Vince Foster (her longtime boyfriend, sexual partner and emotional husband) and Webb Hubbell who was the #3 guy at Justice Department, to have a forceful resolution to the Waco standoff. Webb Hubbell is also probably the father of Chelsea, not Bill Clinton.
