One of the most dangerous asteroids on record zipped close by Earth last month.
It made headlines on Thursday, when reports said that there's a chance it could strike our planet in less than 20 years. Such a collision could unleash a force as powerful as a couple of thousand atomic bombs.
But NASA was quick to calm nerves and point out some very good news. The most dangerous known asteroids don't really pose much of a threat. And there are very few of them.
FULL STORY
The USA will survive any threat by this asteroid. DHS, in consultation with Janet Napolitano, is on top of it. The system works.
Amazing, since Janet Napolitano retired, and her replacement has yet to be confirmed.
I see we have to continue dodging zombies. Better luck next time, eh, zombies? Oh, can't read huh? Coincidence or not?
Sooooo, there are "only a few" of these? It only takes ONE!
Besides, "the most dangerous ones dont pose much of a threat" according to NASA. What?
Well. All pizza is good. Im partial to pepperoni pizza from pizza hut. Thin and crispy along with a side order of their collard greens
What they mean is that the vast majority of these large objects they make close approaches do so repeatedly, and have done so for billions of years. They have not hit us before and never will. We just happen to be noticing them now.
Just another "may have" article. I'm out of here. See ya later bye.
Boring American lives
Teachers are making fun of their students and the real bullies are really bullying. As far as the case in Massachusetts, seems to me that the teacher was having a relationship with the boy, and she wanted to end it, but this 14 year old didn't want that so he stabbed her.
