Super Typhoon Haiyan hits central Philippines

With 25 million people in its path, Super Typhoon Haiyan - one of the strongest storms recorded on the planet - smashed into the Philippines on Friday morning.

As the storm plowed across the cluster of islands in the heart of the country, casualties were reported, more than 100,000 people took shelter in evacuation centers and hundreds of flights were canceled.

The storm brought tremendously powerful winds roaring ashore as it made landfall in the province of Eastern Visayas, disrupting communications with a major city in its path.

    @ Joey, if "Maria" is an artist living with her parents then my suggestion would be its time to grow up and get a job! Any job would be better than none. And if her parents support her "hippie ways" then i guess they wont mind purchasing her medical insurance huh?

    Lol @ Joey, i agree of course. But i can't tell you how many times ive heard people say they aren't gonna take just any old job! As if its their right to expect the best of the best! Lol it boggles my mind especially when i think back to working 3 jobs to support my children because my husband was waiting for the best of the best job, to come and find him....because of course it just SHOULD! Lmao.

    Lol @ Joey, don't be sorry! Im not! I raised my kids right because working all those jobs helped me grow! If i hadnt i might not be the person i am now. So its a positive not a negative! 😉
