Bill Flowers' dog Liberty showed up at his house last week with a human leg - from a complete set of toes to almost the hip.
Flowers told CNN affiliate KOMO-TV he thought about calling the police.
Then he buried the leg in the back yard of his home on the Nisqually Indian Reservation in western Washington.
"I'm 93 years old," he said. "I didn't want to have to go to the pen for something I didn't do."

Fetch, Liberty.
Happens all the time in Florida
Gator territory?
Classic TJI. "Click the FULL STORY link or it will make no sense at all"
Well, I am nowhere near 93, but if my dog brought home a human leg, I would definitely not bury it in the back yard; we have raccoons. That would be the gift that kept on giving.
That, and I own a chihuahua and a pug. If it's not served up in a bowl, forget it.
Well, of course my post was rejected.
That was very rude of that dog. It left that person without a leg to stand on.
Ha!Have
D'oh!
I didn't mean that at all, @bobcat. This phone hates me.
Good one.
A little old lady who broke her leg had to have a plaster cast on for several months, but at last the time came for the doctor to take it off.
'Can I go up the stairs again?' she asked excitedly.
'Yes, of course,' said the doctor.
'Oh good!' said the little old lady. 'I've had such trouble shinning up and down the drainpipe.'
I know, I know
D'oh. And I agree.
This reminds me of the old trombone joke...I thought it was cute.
Nah, I liked it, Rawr. No d'oh.
Bobcat, you do have one for every occasion. You do keep this lady laughing. JIF be patient with your phone and don't throw it in the Hudson. This is creepy with a dog bringing a human leg home.
Post rejected, sigh.. I like your joke bobcat.
Thank you dazzle. The site has been block crazy. I couldn't even post my annual tribute to veterans.
Not dazzle.
Not bobcat.
Thank you Rupert, that is very kind.
Even for Christmas, not one dog of mine ever fetched anything that nice. My female Doberman bright me a baby rabbit one day and lovingly put it on the ground.
I have a Pug and a Chihuahua. They may fetch some serious cash, as they're both AKC.
My reply was rejected, as per normal for TJI.
Banasy I figure fewer than half of my comments are getting through.
Not banasy.

Troll.
Anyone else see Wild at Heart, the scene with the one guy whose arm was just lost, and his buddy is saying "don't worry they can re-attach it" then a dog runs up and grabs it?
Not saywhat.
@ hahaublocked, just how much can anyone say about this topic, seriously? Not even the author had much to say if you didnt notice!
