'Duck Dynasty' star suspended

Is this man simply expressing his beliefs or spewing bigotry?

Either way, Phil Robertson, the patriarch in A&E's "Duck Dynasty," won't be duck calling on air anytime soon. The network suspended him after slamming gays in a magazine interview.

In the January issue of GQ, Robertson said homosexuality is a sin and puts it in the same category as bestiality and promiscuity.

After doing some research on this topic, Phil was NOT in violation of ANY contract! His suspension is being based on the "feelings" of A&Es management after recieving some calls! However it wont matter because the WHOLE family is standing behind Phil so there wont be any more Duck Dynasty, at least not on that network!

      A&E said he did.
He will go to another network; it's a popular show. Perhaps TBN will pick them up.

Well, every entertainment and sports contracts have behavior clauses, Chrissy. Perhaps that's what he should have done: consult his contract. He has his right to his opinion. A&E has a right to theirs.

If they don't want to know his opinion, then they shouldn't ask!

Food Network went on without Paula Dean. I think A&E will survive. So will Phil and his Duck Dynasty.

Didn't he quit? A&E only suspended him. In any case, he has a right to his opinion...and A&E has theirs.

Aw, RR and her usual tactics of lying about people she disagrees with. A typical elementary school tactic.

House and a Senate will do whatever their corporate overlords tell them to do...next time someone talks about Obama taking our rights away we should point this out.

Lol @ Mary, well of course they did because the warmonger bunch are planning on a war strike against Iran. With the help of Israel who they also just approved giving an exhorbitant amount of OUR hard earned tax dollars too! The treasonist hoods in Congress dont give one fig bout americans or the problems in OUR country or they would be working on them instead of this crap! And they need to STOP giving OUR money away!

The NDAA is terrible. It is another reason why when I see people critize GW Bush anywhere I always have to ask them, 'What in the world makes you think Obama is better in any way? Is it the wars we are still fighting? The intrusion of privacy that is even more rampant? The economy that is still stagnant (with artificial inflation of the stock market)? or is it that he is sending money overseas by the boat load while still cutting essential government workers pay?'

Neither party is good, both are vile and until we get rid of both sides, this rollercoaster of the US bombing innocent civilians enmass with congressional approval while crying alligator tears when one person dies from a gunshot in the US is just gonna keep on happening.

@ flamespeak, not only congressional approval but by their initiation. As for the shootings in this country thats been going on forever. We just hear more about them now because it fits certain peoples agenda to use them as a smokescreen to keep people from noticing other things going on that those ppl want to keep under the carpet.

I also noticed @ flamespeak you used the word "he"? Its not he its they. Congress tacked on an extra 200 mil or it could be bil, cant really remember at this time, to the requested 90 something mil or bil for Israel. So its definitely THEY, the treasonist ones, otherwise known as Congress.
