Rodman apologizes for North Korea outburst

Former NBA star Dennis Rodman apologized Thursday for his outburst against detained American Kenneth Bae during his controversial visit to North Korea.

The eccentric basketball player is visiting Pyongyang to celebrate the birthday of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, a man he calls a friend and a "very good guy."

In an exclusive interview Tuesday with Chris Cuomo of CNN's "New Day," Rodman suggested that Bae deserved his 15-year sentence.

These basketball players have no idea of the atrocities of the North Korean regime. They need to read a story of human rights activist Shin Dong-hyuk. Then ask themselves why would N.K. be such a closed society. Compare the propaganda of the Nazis with that of Kim Jong Un. They would understand how their appearance with Kim will serve to increase his power and control of the country. 25% of children under the age of suffer from malnutrition. An estimated 3.5 million people died from starvation in the 1990's. These numbers are backed by UNICEF. And their leader is paying our NBAers how much money to start a league and entertain him on his birthday. They either have no soul of do not understand the situation. I think it is the latter. I too feel bad for them.

the media instigated this blunder by insinuating/pressuring that rodman's relationship and visit somehow may affect bae's detention when the fact of the matter is one had nothing to do with the other...leave the man alone...he played basketball and that's it...the state depart need to dotheir job and stop lookin to layperson lacking expertise to accomplish their end...!

The man is just high on something. Since when did he become friends with a dictator and why is he associating with a murderer. Dennis is acting sooooooo presidential. He is a disgrace to the USA and the african american community in the blacks in the whole world
. He looks like he is malnourished too. Look at his lips. He looks like he is suffering from "kwashiokor"
The guy is not alone. He needs help. He is a lunatic
The korean dictator will throw him in the Lions Den or cut him up in pieces and feed him to the crocodiles or execute him too. May be that is what he is looking for. I can see the dictator doing all the above. Dennis tread carefully........ you are a lunatic a disgrace to the planet and even God must be wondering what went wrong during your creation
. shape up and stop the nonsense. Duh!
