As a Russian descendent, I support Crimean's right for independence from Ukraine.
It is what 60% of what the people of Crimean want. Of course it is not what Washington wants so problems will continue.
Majority rule is recognized, but only when it suits Washington.
Banasy, I must agree with your assessment of our federal government.
They twist their own ideologies to suite them. Truly shamefull.
Go Puttin. Don't back down.
Banasy, actually it's 95.5% of voters from Crimea voted to become part of Russia, not 60%.
Crimean is really pro Russian and anti-west. I just don't understand why Ukraine wants to hang on to a people that does not need or appreciate Ukraine.
Come on, let go.
95.5%?
Then why are we butting in? Allow the east to work it out.
Actually, Crimean used to be part of Russia. Why force them to be part of Ukrain?
It makes no sense.
Politically speaking, Ukraine and Crimean have different ideologies. Crimean has Russian language, Russian culture, same political values, and prefers the Kremlin over the west.
Ukraine favors the United States.
This constant conflict will never end, unless Crimean is annexed to Russia.
I love pizza with mushrooms!
I love how cnn blocks my blogging.
Hi banasy and chrissy...
3 words why Crimea is important natural gas business!
Crimean peninsula is very wealthy!
I see that the Bozo Administration and his left wing cronies are at it again. They feel the need to impose sanctions on anyone that disagrees with them.
Welcome to the next cold war. Another great achievement by this president.
Good post hamsta,thank you.
So when do we get sanctions for spying on our alleys, allowing illegal gun sales into Mexico, drones harming people abroad, and other stuff?
