World update: North Korea threatens to exit pact

Thailand works to restore order after clashes: Police "rapid-response" teams comb the streets of Bangkok to prevent further disruption following clashes between anti-government protesters and troops. Full story

BA announces record losses: British Airways has posted a pre-tax loss of $765 million. It does not take into account losses incurred from the travel disruption caused by the volcanic ash cloud or strike action taken by some workers. Full story

World update: UK revises Israel travel advice

An update from London on some of the stories we're expecting to develop through the day Wednesday:

UK revises Israel travel advice - British citizens traveling to Israel should be aware that their passport details could be captured for "improper uses," Britain's Foreign Office has warned. The advice follows London’s accusation that the Israeli government was responsible for forging UK passports used in an international murder plot.

Israel: Construction years away - Israeli Deputy Prime Minister Dan Meridor has said his government would take two years to implement expansion of the East Jerusalem settlements. The announcement of the plans two weeks ago sparked a diplomatic spat with the United States. Full story

World update: Beijing condemns Google decision

An update from London on some of the stories we're expecting to develop through the day Tuesday:

Beijing condemns Google decision - China state media has Google's decision to quit censoring its China Web site "violated its written promise" and was "totally wrong." Google has redirected all search traffic from mainland China to Google's Hong Kong site, google.com.hk rather than pulling out of China. Full story

Israeli PM in Washington - Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu meets with President Obama today at the White House. In comments yesterday, Netanyahu reiterated his belief that Jerusalem will remain entirely under Israel's control, a contentious issue between the two countries. Full story

World update: Israeli PM visits United States

An update from London on some of the stories we're expecting to develop through the day Monday:

Israeli PM visits United States - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is to meet with top Obama administration officials Monday and the president Tuesday as the two countries tackle a rift over construction in largely Arab East Jerusalem. Netanyahu said Sunday that Israel has no intention of backing down over plans to build 1,600 apartments on disputed land. Read the full story
