Alleged Florida school bus attackers in court

The attack was shocking. Three older students pummeling a 13-year-old boy in a school bus, leaving him with a broken arm.

The video of the assault brought home its ferocity. Now, the alleged assailants are facing the consequences.

Three teenagers appeared in a juvenile court Tuesday in Gulfport, Florida. They were charged with aggravated battery.

Horrific Florida school bus beating

The windmilling fists and stomping feet rain down blows on the 13-year-old boy.

Trapped on the floor between the bus seats, he cries out as he receives fierce punch after vicious kick from the three bigger, older youths.

As the relentless assault unfolds, the driver of the Florida school bus alerts the dispatcher, pleading for aid.

Cleveland kidnapper gets life, plus 1,000 years

After a statement from Ariel Castro - the Cleveland man who held three women captive and sexually abused them for the better part of a decade - and powerful words from one of his victims, a judge sentenced him Thursday to life in prison plus 1,000 years.

Judge Michael Russo called the sentence "commensurate with the harm you've done."

"There is no place in this city, there is no place in this country, there is no place in this world for those who enslave others," Russo said.
